Luxton lives with two partners and three cats in Portland, Oregon, recently graduated from the Stonecoast MFA program in Portland, Maine, and has been described by friends as a "two-fisted tea drinker." A. J. Luxton, when not pursuing some bizarre travel escapade such as the recent year of teaching in China, lives in Portland, Oregon, with a family composed of tall hairless people who enjoy this sort of thing and some small furry people who prefer catnip.
